www.amazon.com I have researched the Sonicare toothbrushes and found the best value to be this new model, I am very happy with it. I read all the reviews for the other models,held them in my hand at the Department store and found the only difference between this and the higher priced models is in the style of the handle and the fancy lights showing the remaining battery life. Also the Elite models have the beep every 30 seconds during the 2 minute timer. This model has all the features I need: Easy reach brush(Uses same replacement heads as the Elite models),2-minute timer. Since these things only last a couple of years anway, what's the sense of spending another $30 or more for features you don't need to clean your teeth. Buy this toothbrush and use the money you saved to buy replacement heads.

Defective Philips Sonicare HX6930

Bought new December 13, 2008. Warranty replacement Jan '10, Mar '10 and Jun '10. Units suddenly begin cycling ON/OFF all by themself and become uncontrollable using the buttons. Eventually they stop working altogether. Potential FIRE HAZARD! Philips didn't want to do the third replacement (even though I'm still covered under the two year warranty) because I didn't have the tracking numbers for the previously returned defective units. When I pointed out that PHILIPS paid for the return shipping and therefore must have the tracking IDs, I was told it was my responsibility to contact them each time and provide them their tracking ID, even though THEY are the ones that sent the return shipping label along with the replacement units! So much for taking care of your customers.
